Meadowdale football wins, girls soccer loses

Same schools, different results. Two Meadowdale High School teams played Columbia River in separate playoff games at Edmonds Stadium Saturday, but the outcome was positive for only one of them.

Meadowdale’s football team defeated Columbia River 27-17 in a first-round 3A playoff game. The sixth-ranked Mavericks (11-0) now will face fourth-ranked Union from Vancouver (10-1) in a quarterfinal game next weekend.

The Meadowdale girls soccer team lost to Columbia River, 3-0, ending the season for the Lady Mavericks.
