Warrior volleyball team falls in first round of state tourney

The Edmonds-Woodway volleyball team lost 3-1 this morning to defending state champion Lewis and Clark from Spokane, and now drops to the losers’ bracket at the 4A state tournament in Kennewick. The Warriors will return to the court at 2 p.m. today vs. Woodinville High School, which lost 3-0 to Curtis High School from Tacoma.

The Warriors took the first match against Lewis and Clark, 28-26, then lost three consecutive matches by scores of 20-25, 21-25 and 20-25.
