Warrior, Maverick girls roll to victory

The Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale girls’ basketball teams rolled to easy victories in high school basketball action Friday night, while the Warrior boys suffered a 50-48 defeat at the hands of Mountlake Terrace.

The Warrior girls beat Mountlake Terrace 54-39, with Ashley Albertson scoring 16 and Alex Kenney adding 14. The Lady Mavericks, meanwhile, defeated Mariner, 71-40. Margreet Barhoum and Julia Fjortoft each scored 21 to lead Meadowdale.

On the boys’ side, Zach Berg scored 25 in the Warriors’ loss, while Andy Willcock added 13.
