Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 391 calls the week of March 11-17: 290 emergency medical aid calls, 19 fires, 28 motor vehicle collisions, one carbon monoxide alarm, 22 service calls and 11 fire alarms. The following calls were in Edmonds:
FIRE. Firefighters extinguished a small fire in the living room of a home in the 700 block of Edmonds Way at 12:14 a.m. A smoke alarm alerted the homeowner and he safely exited the house. No one was injured. The fire caused about $28,000 damage. Investigators determined the fire was started by logs that rolled out of the fireplace.
FIRE. Firefighters responded to a car fire in Edmonds at 8:51 p.m. in the 23100 block of Highway 99.
COLLISION. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car collision in Edmonds at 236th Street SW and 84th Avenue West at 9:09 a.m.
