Two Edmonds-area doubles teams to continue state high school play Saturday

One boys doubles team from Meadowdale High School and one girls doubles team from Edmonds-Woodway will continue play in their respective 3A and 4A state championship matches on Saturday.

All of the other Edmonds-area representatives to the state tennis tourney lost twice on Friday and were eliminated from further competition.

The remaining two doubles teams are Scott Boemke and Grant Lovell from Meadowdale and Amanda Waldron and Michelle Nelson from Edmonds-Woodway. Both teams are in the consolation brackets after losing once, but could play for as high as fourth or sixth place in the tournament Saturday.

We will have complete results and scores on Saturday.
