    Here are a few ways to spend your special day in Edmonds:

    Visit the Edmonds Arts Festival. It’s the last day of this popular three-day event that includes a display of juried arts, live performances and food.  Today’s schedule includes:

    10:30 a.m.: Fadadada

    Noon: May Palmer, the Queen of Ivory Soul

    1:30 p.m.: Seattle Jazz Singers

    3 p.m.: Hettel Street Blues

    5 p.m.: Katy Bourne Quintet.

    Catch “Toy Story 3.” This family friendly film, featuring latest adventures of Woody and Buzz, has received rave reviews, and it’s playing at the Edmonds Theater today at 1:55 p.m., 4:20 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. More details here.

    Take the kids and the dog to the Edmonds dog beach.

    See a 2 p.m. matinee of comedy “Fuddy Meers” at the Phoenix Theatre in Firdale Village or “And Then There Were None,” an Agatha Christie mystery being performed by the Driftwood Players, 2 p.m. at the Wade James Theater, 950 Main St.
