There won’t be a meeting in Edmonds until Aug. 3, but the public is invited learn more about the proposed health care affiliation between Stevens Hospital and Swedish at several community presentations scheduled for this spring and summer. Representatives from Stevens and Swedish will explain the intent of the proposed affiliation and anticipated changes to health care services and Public Hospital District No. 2 that may result from this long-term partnership.

Stevens and Swedish are currently waiting for a regulatory decision from the Washington State Department of Health to finalize an affiliation in which Swedish would assume operational management of Stevens Hospital and lease the facility from the hospital district. A decision from the state is anticipated sometime this fall.
