Should be very interesting to watch. Come see in person or watch on TV. Then tell your council members who you think and why.

Let’s make this a decision based upon who is most qualfied to lead the city at this time. No political ties, no backroom deals, no hidden agendas. The City is in need to some real professional leadership right now.

The Mayor is a two pronged job, you need to be the Face of Edmonds to the outside world, be able to achieve credibility when seeking financial help from larger government entities.

However, the Mayor is also the head of the entire Administration of the City and it’s services. You need to be a strong, yet fair leader who can inspire the best in perfomance from the City’s employees.

It is crucial that the applicants are thoroughly evaluated on these skill sets, not on any other basis. Listen closely, choose wisely. May the most qualified applicant win.
