Edmonds high school sports roundup for Thursday

Football:
Meadowdale 48, Lindbergh (Renton) 7

The Mavericks posted an easy 48-7 non-conference victory over Lindbergh Thursday night. Anders Peterson caught two touchdown passes in the second quarter. Quarterback Nathan Ball had 95 passing yards (73 of those to Peterson) and also ran for a touchdown. Meadowdale also had two interception returns for touchdowns by Darren Bojrab and Riley Pearson. Tyler Morehouse added a 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Volleyball:
Edmonds-Woodway 3, Meadowdale 2

After current and former EWHS volleyball players honored retired Coach Mike Pittis, the Warriors downed Meadowdale in five sets, 25-21, 24-26, 22-25, 25-23, 15-10. Scoring leaders for E-W: Ashley Kelly-Norling and Sydney Donaldson with 12 kills each, Maddie Houvener with 27 assists. For Meadowdale: Lindsey Milner, 22 kills, 10 digs and six block kills; Payton Shrum, 37 assists and 11 digs.

Girls Soccer:
Meadowdale 2, Everett 1
The Mavericks won after connecting on five goals in a shootout, with Krista Bartowski, Kari Beaulieu, Marcail MacDonald and Maddi Null all scoring. Meadowdale’s goal was scored by Alisa Sagdahl, from Krista Bartkowski’s assist. Brianna Eney was in the goal for the Mavericks.

Edmonds-Woodway 2, Cascade 0
The Warriors were led by Kalia Machado, who scored in the 60th minute (Salina Saucedo assist). Saucedo scored at the 65th minute off an assist from Machado. Michelle Rumpel was in the goal for the Warriors.
