Sustainable Works kick-off for energy efficient Edmonds coming Sept. 29

Sustainable Works, a community Edmonds-Lynnwood partnership project aimed at providing low-cost or free energy audits, is hosting an energy efficiency kick-off event at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Edmonds Community College.

Those attending the event, to be held in Room 202 of Woodway Hall, can enter to win a free energy audit.

Sustainable Works is a non-profit funded by $4 million from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant to help homeowners across the state with energy audits and home retrofits that will reduce energy use while also creating jobs. The group’s goal is to audit 300 homes in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area, with a focus on moderate-income households. Those wanting more information on the program can visit the Sustainable Works website or call 206-575-2252.
