The City of Edmonds is seeking candidates to serve on the newly created Citizens Tree Board. The Board will consist of seven non-paid volunteers positions serving, initially, two or four-year terms.
Board members must be committed to attend regularly scheduled meetings and participate in committee work and activities involving the Tree Board. Meeting places and times will be determined by the majority of the board members.
Applicants must be Edmonds residents and have a willingness to serve the citizens of Edmonds. Skills and backgrounds — both professionally or hobbyist interest/experience — in urban forestry, horticulture, native plants, master gardening, wildlife expertise, etc., are desirable.
Initially, each City Councilmember will appoint one Tree Board member. The selections will be based on the qualifications described in the candidate’s application. Councilmembers may also interview candidates at their discretion.

Applications shall be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
