Remember to drop off your used Halloween costumes at Coldwell Banker Bain, 108 5th Ave. S., in downtown Edmonds this week in preparation for this Saturday’s Green Halloween Edmond Costume Swap, which runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
The costume swap is being hosted by Edmonds-based Womentorz.com and Coldwell Banker Bain and is part of the Puget Sound-based Green Halloween national movement to make Halloween more healthy for children and more sustainable for the planet. Led by Edmonds resident Melinda Knight, Green Halloween Edmonds has the support of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce and will be incorporated into downtown Edmonds’ annual Halloween festivities this year.
Costumes in good condition can be dropped off at Coldwell Banker Bain from now through the day of the swap. Those donating costumes will receive a token if they want to return to pick up a new costume the day of the event. Any leftover costumes will be donated to charity.
Knight is currently seeking volunteers who can help during the event. For more information, visit the Green Halloween Edmonds Facebook page.
