Clothes for Kids could use your help this holiday season

As the holiday season begins and the weather starts to cool, Clothes For Kids has an excellent opportunity for groups or individuals to help with clothing donations. Clothes For Kids is a non-profit organization providing wardrobes for low-income families in the Edmonds School District.

Clothes For Kids has already served more than 1,870 students since late August, and last year served more than 5,200 children.  While the organization has received “very generous” clothing donations this year, it notes that its supplies are starting to diminish. The greatest need are the basics such as children’s underwear, winter coats, T-shirts and shoes size 1-5.

Here’s how you can help. Conduct a drive at your place of business for the most needed items. In addition, individuals and organizations can make a significant difference through financial donations, which cover the cost of ensuring that the doors stay open. Clothes for Kids is able to keep its overhead low thanks to generous volunteers who provide over 8,500 volunteer hours annually.
