Edmonds-Woodway’s boys and girl basketball teams earned victories Friday, with the boys scoring an 88-79 non-league victory over Sultan and the girls defeating Southridge of Beaverton, Ore., 63-52 in the Nike Northwest Invitational.

Josh Jordan scored a game-high 36 points to lead Edmonds-Woodway to a nonconference win.

On the girls’ side, Angela Woods scored 21 — including 11 in the first quarter — to lead the Lady Warriors over Southridge in the consolation round of the Nike tournament (the Warriors lost their tourney opening game Thursday — 63-52 — against Clackamas).  Madeline Kasper contributed 11 points and Ashley Albertson added 10 for the Warriors.
