Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 347 calls the week of Feb. 17-23: 280 emergency medical aid calls, 24 motor vehicle collisions, 18 fires, nine service calls, 13 automatic fire alarms, two natural gas leaks and one technical rescue response. The following calls took place in or near Edmonds.
HOUSE FIRE. At 11:22 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at a house in the 14400 block of Madison Way north of Lynnwood. No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The fire caused more than $350,000 damage and displaced one man. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating this incident as arson.
COLLISION. At 4:09 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at 148th Street Southwest and Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.
PEDESTRIAN HIT BY CAR. At 1:59 a.m., a pedestrian was hit by a car at 148th Street Southwest and Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported by firefighters to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION. At 12:09 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds and one patient to Northwest Hospital after responding to a car that rolled and went off the road on northbound I-5 near the off-ramp to 220th Street Southwest.
