Carol Schillios will be the guest presenter Thursday, March 17, for the third meeting of 425 Launch, a program for Edmonds entrepreneurs developed by the Economic Development Committee of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Brackett Room at City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave., Edmonds.
Schillios spent many years in the consumer co-op/credit union field before deciding to open her Fabric of Life boutique on Main Street in Edmonds. She will share with those attending the dynamics of her decision and her movement into the entrepreneurial world.
The goal of 425 Launch is to promote and foster entrepreneurship by providing an every-other-month forum where business owners and those who aspire to start a business can help each other along their entrepreneurial journey.
Topics of interest include choosing the right business, navigating business licensing issues, funding possibilities, cash flow, social networking, technology, marketing and other issues determined by the group.
Note to those attending for the first time: The main doors to City Hall at 121 Fifth Ave. N. may be closed so please use the door to the Chamber of Commerce office suite, located immediately north of the City Hall entrance.
