Snohomish County Fire District No. 1 responded to 318 calls the week of April 21-27: 264 emergency medical aid calls, 17 motor vehicle collisions, eight fires, two natural gas leaks, 11 service calls and 16 automatic fire alarms. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
COLLISION: At 5:23 p.m., a vehicle went down the wrong side of the street and hit a telephone pole in the 21000 block of 76th Ave. W in Edmonds. The car received minor damage and the driver was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds.
COLLISION: At 10:16 p.m., a car hit a fence in the 15900 block of 44th Ave. W. north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the driver to Swedish/Edmonds.
COLLISION: At 9:09 p.m., a blocking accident was reported at the intersection of 164th Street SW and 36th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.
COLLISION: At 10:42 p.m., two people were injured when a car crashed into a retaining wall on southbound I-5 south of the 220th Street exit in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Northwest Hospital and the other patient to Harborview Medical Center.
