Clothes for Kids needs your vote for $10,000 donation

Clothes for Kids, which will provides clothing to more than 6,000 low-income Edmonds School District students and their family members this year, is in the running for $10,000 in a contest sponsored by Umpqua Bank. Through May 13, Umpqua is inviting community members to participate in Community Votes by voting to choose which of three local non-profits they would like to receive a $10,000 donation from the bank.   Clothes For Kids is the lone Snohomish non-profit participating in the voting process through the Umpqua Bank Campaign.

“$10,000 would be a huge asset to Clothes For Kids, allowing us to be even more prepared to serve students with fall and winter wardrobes when our store re-opens for back to school shopping in late August,” said Rob Schwertley, President of the Board of Directors for Clothes For Kids.

Clothes For Kids receives no government funding. The services of Clothes For Kids are funded entirely through generous donations from our community including cash, in-kind and volunteer time. To support Clothes For Kids and vote for the organization you can go into any Umpqua Bank branch through May 13, 2011 and vote.  The closest branch, located in Lynnwood, is at 19009 33rd Ave. W, Ste. 200.  Supporters can vote one time daily throughout the voting period.
