Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 369 calls the week of April 28 through May 4: 293 emergency medical aid calls, 20 motor vehicle collisions, 19 fires, 16 service calls, one natural gas leak, one hazardous materials response and 20 automatic fire alarms. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
COLLISION: At 6:32 a.m., a two-car, head-on collision was reported on Filbert Road near North Road east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one of the drivers to Swedish/Edmonds.
COLLISION: At 10:05 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided in the 22800 block of 100th Avenue West in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the injured motorcyclist to Swedish/Edmonds.
COLLISION: At 9:04 a.m., a multi-vehicle collision was reported in the 15400 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. Two cars, one truck and one transit bus were involved. Two people were thrown from one of the cars and sustained life-threatening injuries. They were transported by firefighters to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the second car received minor injuries and transported by ambulance to Swedish/Edmonds. The occupants of the truck and the bus were uninjured.
