Edmonds-Woodway High School senior Lincoln Sea was recently notified that he is one of 1,000 students nationwide to receive a scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice through the Gates Millennium Scholars Program. This scholarship will allow him to pursue his entire post-secondary academic career at no cost, including masters and graduate programs.
Sea plans to study engineering next year at the University of Washington. He is one of 30 students statewide and the only student in the Edmonds School District to receive this scholarship.
The goal of the Gates Millennium Scholars Program is to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students to reach their highest potential. The program also supports students’ continued success with mentoring and personal and academic development opportunities.
