Edmonds-based Miss Peters and May unlimited hydroplane showed more improvement than hoped for during the qualifying heat for this weekend’s Columbia Cup.
Owner Scott Ranet said the boat’s handling Friday was greatly improved over two weeks ago in Detroit. “Now we can go racing!” Raney beamed.
Co-owner and driver JW Meters was also all smiles as he qualified the boat at an average speed of over 154mph. That makes Edmonds’ own hydroplane the fourth fastest going into racing tomorrow.
