MS Helping Hands spreads the word with new ‘Bug’

The Bug

Edmonds-based MS Helping Hands, which provides support and assistance for people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families, now has the “Bug.”

According to MSHH President Bill Brayer, the new car-like electric scooter was part of a large package of used and new scooters the organization received from a local business that folded. MSHH painted it, added the signature turtle “We stick our necks out for you” logo and nicknamed it “Bug”

MSHH volunteer Dave Booth has been taking the Bug to various events and handing out flyers about the Donor Closet, which offers recycled mobility and medical equipment for a suggested minimum donation. “It has really caused a lot of attention wherever we take it,” Brayer said.

The Donor Closet is located at 409 Howell Way in downtown Edmonds. MSHH also has a financial grant assistance program for people with MS who live in Washington state.

For more information about MSHH or the Donor Closet, or to become a volunteer, call MSHH President Bill Brayer at 425-712-1804 or 206-718-0894.
