Edmonds-based European travel guru Rick Steves said Thursday he’s giving $1 million to the Edmonds Center for the Arts, Seattle P-I.com reported. A spokesman for Steves was quoted as saying the donation represents what he would have paid in taxes if the Bush-era tax cuts not been enacted. You can see Steves’ complete statement here.
