Alley Cat Project, a cat rescue group, will be bringing adorable, adoptable kittens (photos here of ones who are likely to appear) to the Edmonds All the Best Pet Care next to the Edmonds PCC Natural Market on Edmonds Way this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Alley Cat Project works to reduce cat overpopulation primarily through trap-neuter-release of feral cats. In the process of saving the cats, the group finds kittens, either still nursing with their mother or weaned but still young. If they are young enough, the group will socialize them as companion animals and adopt them into good homes.
“The advantage of adopting from us is that these kittens have spent most of their life living with one of our members, we know their personalities well, and can advise a good match for the adopter and their household,” said Tom Unger of the Alley Cat Project.
All the kittens have been altered, microchipped, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV, and have good litter box habits, Unger said, and All the Best Pet Care is providing the group with a tent so the kittens can run free and interact with potential adopters.
