My Edmonds News is proud to announce that we will be providing live broadcasts of Edmonds-Woodway High School football games that can be heard by anyone with an Internet connection. Warrior Radio Presented by Edmonds Community College will begin with the first game of the Edmonds-Woodway High School football season, which kicks off at 5 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 2 vs. Monroe.
Both home and away games will be webcast through the following URL: www.myedmondsnews.com/warrior-radio. Not only are the games covered live, but they are also archived for later listening.
Doing the play-by-play for Warrior Radio is Keith Nealey, an Edmonds-Woodway parent and television broadcast engineer, who has been providing prerecorded podcasts of EWHS football and basketball games for the past two years. Nealey will be assisted by guest color announcers, including EWHS alumni and students.
The Warrior Radio Pregame Show presented by Waldron Chiropractic will be broadcast approximately 10 minutes prior to each game and will include interviews with E-W coaches and a look at the upcoming game match-ups. The Warrior Halftime Show presented by Ron and Michelle Clyborne Real Estate Brokers will feature a wrap-up of the first half and interviews with special guests.
Edmonds Community College is the presenting sponsor for Warrior Radio, which is hosted via Stretch Internet through My Edmonds News. Stretch Internet provides dedicated streaming for college, high school and professional sports teams nationwide.
A percentage of all Warrior Radio advertising profits will benefit the Edmonds-Woodway Athletic Booster Club. Other advertising sponsors include Bob Wilcox for City Council, Puget Sound Family Physicians, Edmonds Sports Academy and Evviva Wood Fired Pizza.
