Tonight in Edmonds: How you can use social media to start a business

Karen Rosenzweig

Tips for using social media to start a business and develop/sustain a client base is the topic of the next 425 Launch meeting this Thursday, Sept. 15, sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. The meeting starts at 5:30 pm in the Brackett Room, City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N., Edmonds.

Guest presenter will be Karen Rosenzweig, a social media consultant/trainer and owner of Edmonds-based One Smart Cookie Marketing.  She has helped dozens of restaurants, food companies, and entrepreneurs increase their customer base and gain visibility through Twitter, Facebook, blogging and other social media tools. A regular columnist for MyEdmondsNews.com, you can access her articles here.

The 425 Launch gatherings bring entrepreneurs together to meet, talk and informally share information about the challenges and rewards of starting a new business.  The program — developed by the Economic Development Committee of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce — seeks to strengthen the  community by promoting and fostering entrepreneurship.  By providing a forum for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and experiences, we can improve communication and strengthen entrepreneurship in the community.
