Reminder: Downtown merchants hosting Labor Day weekend sidewalk sale, treasure hunt

Adult pirates and children too can enjoy the plunder all around Edmonds this Labor Day Weekend as the downtown Edmonds Merchants host their 4th Annual Labor Day Weekend Sidewalk Sale and Treasure Hunt.

All around town, shop keepers are filling tables with items priced to sell as they make way for fall’s hot new products, said Ruth Arista of Arista Wine Cellars. Shoppers can find all sorts of treasures at great prices on Saturday, Sunday and

Monday. “Check with your favorite shop for their hours during the holiday Labor Day weekend and their sale goods,” Arista said.

And then there’s the treasure hunt. Kids and adults can enjoy strolling around town and solving the clues and can also enter to win gift cards and prizes donated by Edmonds merchants. Pick up your treasure map and clue sheet at any shop that has a skull and crossbones in the window. Prizes are drawn from correct entries and winners will be notified on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Many shops are also offering give-aways or special treasure drawings in-house too.
