The Edmonds Education Association announced Thursday that it has endorsed Diana White and Gary Noble for Edmonds School Board, citing “their strong records of leadership and service to the Edmonds School District.” The association represents nearly 1,400 certificated staff members of the Edmonds School District.
White is running against Mark Dillan for Position 5, an open seat vacated by Pat Shields. She has served as a volunteer in classrooms, a PTA president, a school auction chair and a representative on the Citizens Planning Committee.
“Diana’s extensive involvement in both schools and District committees gives her a clear understanding of the most crucial issues facing students, teachers, and the Edmonds School District,” said Andi Nofziger-Meadows, president of the Edmonds Education Association. “Diana also recognizes the importance of teachers, support staff, administrators and parents collaborating to provide the best possible education for all students. Her degree in finance should provide an excellent analytical framework for the financial and policy issues she will face as a School Board member. “
Noble, running against Boe Lindgren for re-election to Position 3, has already served eight years on the Edmonds School Board. “Gary has a strong and consistent record of emphasizing student achievement, making solid financial decisions, and respecting the input and expertise of teachers and support staff,” Nofziger-Meadows said. “He has the experience and vision to continue to serve in this leadership role for our district.”
