Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 349 calls the week of Oct. 27 through Nov. 2: 273 emergency medical aid calls, 29 motor vehicle collisions, 16 fires, 10 service calls, 3 hazardous materials calls and 21 automatic fire alarms. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
COLLISION: At 4:31 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car in the 8300 block of 212th Street Southwest in Edmonds and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 7:31 p.m., a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle at 200th Street Southwest and 80th Avenue West in Edmonds and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 2:13 p.m., two cars and a pedestrian were involved in a collision at 164th Street SW and Larch Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION: At 3:01 p.m., 12 cars collided on 128th Street Southwest at Gibson Road south of Everett. Firefighters rescued a man trapped inside a car that went off the road and caught fire. They also had to use rescue tools to free a man trapped in another car. Both men were transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center. Firefighters also transported an injured woman to Swedish/Edmonds. Four other patients were treated by firefighters at the scene.
COLLISION: At 4:27 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 13400 block of Highway 99 south of Everett. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital for treatment.
