Community Service: Since middle school, I have been involved with many unpaid community service opportunities through my church, Westgate Chapel.

Future Educational Goals: My dream school for undergrad is Stanford University, and I want to earn my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with a track in Pre-Medicine. After serving a tour in the Navy, I hope to attend a highly esteemed medical school such as Harvard, Johns Hopkins, or Stanford.
Future Career Goals: After college, I want to be a Naval officer. It is my goal to be accepted to flight school and become a Navy fighter pilot. After serving a tour as an aviator, I want to attend medical school and return to the Navy as a doctor.
Anything else we should know? I am a recipient of the Navy ROTC scholarship. In fact, I was the first scholarship applicant to be accepted to the program out of 4 states in the northwest United States in the 2011-2012 scholarship consideration cycle.

Clubs & Activities: Since my sophomore year I have been a news anchor and reporter for the Edmonds-Woodway Warrior Broadcasting Network (WBN) covering sports news and announcements. This year I am a member of the Friends of Rachel Club which helps promote kindness throughout our school.
ASB: As a member of the Edmonds-Woodway cheer squad I am involved in leadership and ASB classes and activities at school. I have also been an ASB senator for the past two years.
Athletics: I am a captain for the Edmonds-Woodway cheer squad where I have been a cheerleader for the past three years. During my freshman year I played on the Edmonds-Woodway soccer team.
Honors: Since my junior year I have been an IB student taking IB English, French and Physics classes. As a sophomore I took Honors English.
Awards: I received an Excellence in English Award as a sophomore. As a senior I was nominated to the All American Cheer Team and I have also received Leadership in Cheer awards for the past three years. I was also nominated for the National Young Leaders of America and The National Society of High School Scholars.
Community Service: I volunteer regularly at Food Lifeline. For the past three years I have also volunteered at the Edmonds-Woodway Cheer Clinic, the annual Edmonds 4th of July Parade, at marathons such as the Race for the Cure, the Seattle Rock and Roll run, and at local events like the Taste of Edmonds and the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce holiday gift wrapping
Current Employment: Each week I nanny for a family with 3-year-old triplets and a 6-year-old.
Future Educational Goals: I hope to attend the University of Washington and major in Communications and minor in Foreign Relations or Biology.
Future Career Goals: I’d really like to become a news anchor or reporter.
Anything else we should know? This year the Edmonds-Woodway cheer squad started a Sparkles cheer team. The Sparkles cheer team consists of developmentally disabled girls who are in middle or high school in the Edmonds School District. The Edmonds-Woodway cheer squad is the first cheer team in Washington to have a Sparkles program at their school.

Culminating Project: I organized the Dig for a Cure volleyball match at Meadowdale High against Lynnwood High. It raised cancer awareness and supported the fight against all types of cancer. All of the money I raised that night went to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. I designed T-shirts and sold them for donations. I also made ribbons and money from the concession stand went to the SCCA as well. I ended up raising around $1,200.
Future Educational Goals: I want to attend a small four-year university (preferably Christian) on the West Coast and study graphic design while playing volleyball.
Future Career Goals: I want to go into the publication/design business.
Anything else we should know? I play sports almost year-round but take numerous AP classes. I know it is important to keep up my grades and work hard to balance sports, school, and my social life.
Scriber Lake High

Clubs & Activities: Henry is an avid writer. In one sitting he can compose poetry, vignettes, or short stories that delight his classmates and teachers.

Honors: Consistently on “green status” since coming to Scriber Lake HS in 2008, meaning that Henry has additional privileges because of good grades.
Awards: Recipient of the Hidden Winner Award from the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club
Culminating Project: Henry is creating an art portfolio. Most pieces are pencil and paper drawings with a variety of abstract and representational subject matter.
Anything else we should know? Henry is a computer aficionado. He programs parts of video games, and conducts research on a regular basis.

Culminating Project: Stephanie is in the process of creating a therapeutic coloring book for children.
Current Employment: Stephanie works at All Pet Veterinary Clinic where she works as a kennel assistant. She enjoys cleaning in general, and appreciates animals a great deal.
Future Educational Goals: Wants to begin at Shoreline or Edmonds Community College and transfer to a 4-year college and beyond. Stephanie is very interested in advanced education.
Future Career Goals: Stephanie is choosing between being a first grade teacher, a poet, a welder, a dental hygienist, and a drug and alcohol counselor.
Anything else we should know? At a very early age Stephanie learned many good ways to help care for her family.
