Edmonds Election 2011: Just released — Edmonds City Council results from Tuesday

According to the latest election results from Snohomish County, released Tuesday afternoon, citizen activist Joan Bloom, who ran on a platform of increased government transparency, is still ahead of one-term Edmonds City Councilmember DJ Wilson in the Position 5 race, while appointed incumbent Diane Buckshnis is edging challenger Bob Wilcox to retain her Position 4 seat.

The closest race is for Position 7, with appointed incumbent Lora Petso slightly ahead of challenger Darlene Stern.

There are more ballots to be counted, and additional results will be released at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
