Here’s a reminder to shop at the Edmonds Senior Center Thrift Store, located at 220 Railroad Ave. The store is now operating winter hours, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
According to Edmonds Senior Center Board Member Diane Buckshnis, this year the Thrift Store has seen record sales despite a sluggish economy. “We attribute the extraordinary sales volume to receipt of high-quality donations that are then moderately priced for rapid turnover,” she said.
The Thrift Store is one of the Senior Center’s main income-producers, so the continued donation of “twice loved” items (note, thought, that the store can’t accept electronics or toys). Items currently for sale include antiques, jewelry, clothes, CDs, DVDs, soft cover books, linens, toys, kitchen items and small furniture. Since the Senior Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, the estimated value of all donations may be considered for charitable tax-deduction purposes.
So, come on down to the waterfront and check out our wonderful Thrift Store. ESC’s Directors, staff and volunteers very much appreciate your donations and generous community support. For more Information about ESC visit http://edmondssc.org/
