Senior Madeline Kasper scored 31 points — including five 3s — and freshman sister Natalie added 10 as the E-W Warriors defeated previously unbeaten Shorecrest 57-52 in overtime in a non-league away game Tuesday night.

The Scots got off to a strong start and led 15-8 after the first quarter, but the Warriors climbed back in and were down just two, 26-24, at halftime.

With the game tied at 46 at the end of regulation, E-W was facing the OT period without their two starting posts — Sidney Eck and Seyi Olajoyegbe — who had fouled out. But Kasper went to work, scoring five of the Warriors’ 11 points in the overtime period to secure the win.

Next up for the Warriors is defending state 4A champion Lewis and Clark from Spokane, who come to the E-W gym for a non-league match-up at 7 p.m. Thursday.  You can listen to the game live on Warrior Radio, where you can also listen to the archive of Tuesday night’s OT game.

Edmonds-Woodway scoreboard: M. Kasper 31, Eck 2, N. Kasper 10, Nealey 2, Spencer 2, Vogel 1, Jackson 5, Olajoyegbe 4
