Deputies seek public’s help in death investigation of burglary suspect

Snohomish County Sherriff”s detectives are asking for the public’s help in their investigation into the shooting of an alleged burglary suspect in unincorporated Edmonds Tuesday night. Here’s the latest information released by the Sheriff’s office Thursday afternoon:

Major Crimes Unit detectives continue follow up work on this death investigation.  A search warrant was served at the residence by detectives on Feb. 8.  Detectives continue to interview potential witnesses.  No arrests have been made in this investigation.  The person involved in the shooting was the homeowner at the residence.  He is 25 years of age.  There is no indication the homeowner knew the suspect. 

At the time of the shooting, the suspect was wearing a black knit cap, grey sweatshirt with a “Seahawk” emblem on the front, and grey sweat pants.  He was approximately 6’00” and was heavy build.  If anyone saw this individual in their neighborhood in the afternoon or early evening hours on Tuesday, Feb. 7, they are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 425-388-3845.
