Edmonds-area fire calls, week of Feb. 2-8
Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 377 calls the week of Feb. 2-8, 2012; 314 emergency medical aid calls, 20 motor vehicle collisions, 19 fires, 7 service calls, 4 gas leaks, 1 hazardous materials call and 12 automatic fire alarms. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
Feb. 5
COLLISION: At 10:04 p.m., a car left the road, drove into a drainage ditch and struck a utility pole in the 15500 block of Meadow Road northeast of Lynnwood. The driver was critically injured and transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center.
Feb. 6
FIRE: At 2:56 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire near 220th Place Southwest and 34th Avenue West in Brier.
COLLISION: At 3:31 p.m., a two-car, head-on collision was reported in the 1100 block of 5th Avenue South in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one driver to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION: At 4:16 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 148th Street Southwest and 40th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital and another patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.
COLLISION: At 10:48 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at King Place and Larch Way northeast of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.
Feb. 8
COLLISION: At 6:21 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 236th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 8:17 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 236th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
