Lady Warriors drop heartbreaker to Snohomish; face Mariner in must-win game Thursday

In the opening round of the 4A District 1 playoffs, Edmonds-Woodway’s girls basketball team lost a 44-42 heartbreaker to Snohomish Tuesday night,  and now host Mariner at 7 p.m. on Thursday in a loser-out contest.

Although the Panthers had a five-point lead at halftime, E-W had built a 35-30 advantage at the end of the third quarter.  However, Snohomish made some key free throws at the end of the game to secure the victory.

Thursday night’s game will be broadcast live on Warrior Radio.
