Make your home energy efficient with no-interest financing through SustainableWorks

Residents of Shoreline, Lynnwood and Edmonds can now access no-interest financing to make their home more energy efficient or add solar through SustainableWorks.

The program is designed to help homeowners make home improvements that reduce their energy use and energy bills. In additional to receiving a low-cost home energy audit, participants can save on items like furnaces, air sealing, insulation, hot water heaters, and solar that reduce their energy costs. To learn more about the program, or to sign up, visit www.sustainableworks.com or call 206-575-2252.

The process begins with a pre-audit to determine eligibility followed by a professional energy audit. Worth approximately $400, the cost of the audit to the homeowner is $95. An energy consultant then explains to the homeowner where they are losing energy and suggests the most cost effective energy saving improvements. Homeowners can also work with SustainableWorks to add solar to their home. SustainableWorks then completes the energy saving measures chosen by the homeowner.

SustainableWorks offers bulk bundling prices and utility incentives to lower the project cost. Zero to low-interest financing is also available to help homeowners afford their projects. All loans are subject to approval and based on credit score.

I used Sustainable Works and felt the initial audit was done professionally. With that said, the project management of the follow up work was very poor. It was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had in all my home improvement/repair work. Truly it was due to the project manager and not necessarily due to the actual sub contractors. Cost savings were minimal and could be gained by doing the leg work on my own.

What a great opportunity for those wanting make the next step towards getting out of our country’s dependence on foreign oil. I’ve had solar panels on my home for the past year and can’t imagine having to pay for electricity. My panels help feed the houses of my neighbors in Edmonds. Snohomish County is a leader in the move to sustainability-my friends in King County don’t have the incentives we do.
SustainableWorks is a real asset to our community.

I’m very sorry about your experience with SustainableWorks. We strive to provide the highest level of customer service possible. The Project Manager that was assigned to your project is no longer employed with our organization. Please contact us directly if there is anything we can do to improve your experience.

Many of our customers see a 30-40% reduction in their energy use. However, this is completely dependent on your home and the improvements you choose to make.
