Shoreline CC business philanthropy series continues Wednesday with speaker from Microsoft

The Global Affairs Center at Shoreline Community College, directed by Lawrence Fuell of Edmonds, this Wednesday, Feb. 22 continues its Business Philanthropy and Development series featuring local companies’ efforts to promote charity and development at home and abroad. This week’s speaker is Akhtar Badshah, Microsoft’s Senior Director of Global Community Affairs.

Since 1983, Microsoft and its employees have provided over $4.6 billion in cash, services and software to nonprofits around the world through localized giving and volunteer campaigns. Prizes, including Camelback water bottles and video game software, will be raffled off during the event.

Held on consecutive Wednesday evenings through Feb. 29, these events are free to the public. They run from 7-8:30 p.m., PUB 9208 Quiet Dining Room, on the Shoreline CC campus.
