The public auction of the Edmonds’ Waterfront Antique Mall property scheduled for Friday, already postponed once from March 9, has been postponed again to April 6.
You can see the paperwork related to the trustee’s sale filed with the county here. According to the notice, the building owners owe nearly $195,000 in past-due property taxes, interest and penalties.
The Antique Mall sits on 4.3 acres at 190 Sunset Ave. just south of the ferry terminal.
This is actually the third postponement. The auction was originally scheduled for February 24th. Then came the postponement to March 9th, and then to March 23rd, and now to April 6th. It would be interesting to know what’s going on.
You are right, Ron — thanks for pointing that out.
What is the appraised value of the property at this time?
Rebecca:
The 2012 county tax value for the property is $6,391,000; the value peaked in 2009 at$10,270,000. When the value for 2013 taxes is released in May/June there is likely to be another decline in it.
A belated “thank you” for this information, Ron.
