You’re invited to Edmonds Strategic Plan workshop Monday

Do you have a vision for Edmonds? Would you have time Monday night, March 19, to share your thoughts and ideas? Then, please join me and our neighbors for the City’s Strategic Plan workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Library Plaza room.

You have three ways to sign up: Fill out a form on the city’s website, send an email to StrategicPlan@edmondswa.gov, or call Cindy Cruz at 425-775-7724

After welcoming remarks, we will be divided into small groups for a facilitated discussion. We are asked to focus on four topics:
1. Waterfront and downtown development
2. Highway 99 development
3. Arts and culture
4. Budget priorities and partnerships

The results will be presented at a community meeting May 2 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Plaza room.

  1. I am so happy that Kristiana posted this. I personally attended three of the Strategic Planning/Stakeholder meetings and took the on-line surveys. I noticed at the three stakeholder meetings that attendance was low and when asking several folks about the survey they had no clue what I was talking about. So… again, I am glad this got posted and truly want to encourage my fellow Edmonds residents to attend the Charette and take the surveys that are still available on-line at the City’s website:
https://www.edmondswa.gov/. I ran into Tom Beckwith the hired Consultant/ Team Leader at PCC recently and he told me that they could really use more young adults to take the young adult survey found on the city’s website. Thanks everyone!!

  2. Kristiana, I echo Laura’s thanks for posting this reminder of the Charette (brain storming session) this Monday night.

I also plan to be there, as a council member observer. I listened in on several groups last Wednesday, and many interesting thoughts and ideas were shared. I also would like to see students and more young adults participate on Monday evening. Our young residents’ ideas and creativity are so important to the future of Edmonds.

  3. I’ll try to make it. I’m presently working at Boeing so it all depends on when I get out and how bad the traffic is.
