Fire District 1 fire calls, week of Sept. 20-26

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 379 calls the week of Sept. 20-26: 312 emergency medical aid calls, 23 motor vehicle collisions, 16 fires, 13 service calls, 2 natural gas leaks and 13 automatic fire alarms.

Sept. 20
BRUSH FIRE:  At 9:04 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in the woods in the 3300 block of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood.

Sept.  21
COLLISION:  At 7:05 a.m., firefighters responded to a collision involving a sports utility vehicle and a school bus in the 15100 Manor Way north of Lynnwood. The sports utility vehicle was wedged under the school bus, but no one was injured.

Sept. 22
COLLISION:  At 9:48 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a two-car at 236th Street Southwest and 58th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace.

COLLISION:  At 10:25 a.m., firefighters responded to a collision involving a bicycle and a pick-up truck at Barker Road and Atlas Road east of Brier. The bicyclist, a 24-year-old male, died at the scene.

COLLISION:  At 3:37 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 24100 block of Firdale Avenue in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported two patients with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 8:09 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian in the 13400 block of Highway 99 south of Everett.  Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center.

Sept. 24

COLLISION:  At 8:26 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room after responding to a collision in the 12800 block of E Gibson Road south of Everett.

Sept. 25
COLLISION:  At 7:13 a.m., a transit bus and a car collided in the 100 block of 128th Street Southwest  south of Everett. No one was injured.

Sept. 26
COLLISION:  At 6:38 a.m., three cars were involved in a collision on southbound SR 525 exit to Alderwood Mall Parkway north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Evergreen Hospital.
