What’s open and closed on Christmas Eve, Day
-Top Foods on 220th Street Southwest closes at 10 p.m. Christmas Eve and is closed Christmas Day; the Safeway Store on Highway 99 closes at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m Christmas Day.; Petosa’s Family Grocer at 550 5th Ave. S. is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Christmas Day. Westgate QFC is open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and is open from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Christmas Day. PCC Natural Markets is open until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas.
-No home mail delivery, and post offices closed.
-Banks are closed.
-Edmonds City Hall and Snohomish County offices closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
-The Edmonds Library closes at 3 p.m. Christmas Eve and is closed Christmas Day.
Community Transit buses will not operate on Christmas and New Year’s Day; customer service will also be closed both days. The agency will provide regular local bus service and reduced commuter bus service on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, with revised customer service hours those days.
On Dec. 24 and 31, Community Transit local buses will be on regular schedule, including routes to Boeing. Routes 402, 413 and 421 will be the only commuter routes serving downtown Seattle those days, while Route 855 will be the only commuter route serving the University District. On those days, customer service phone lines will be open 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sound Transit buses between Snohomish County and King County will operate on regular weekday schedule Dec. 24 and 31. Sound Transit buses will be on Sunday schedule Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Sound Transit trains will operate with special holiday hours during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. On Monday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 31. Assuming the tracks are reopened following current mudslides, Sounder service from Everett will depart at 5:45 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Return trains northbound will leave King Street Station at 4:05 p.m. and 5:05 p.m.
– Edmonds/Kingston ferry is operating on weekday schedule on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the Edmonds/Kingston route will operate on a weekday schedule with a few revisions. The 5:35 a.m. from Kingston, and the 6:20 a.m. from Edmonds will not sail. The 7:05 a.m. sailing from Kingston will depart at 7:15 a.m. There will also be a 9:10 p.m. from Kingston and a 9:50 p.m. from Edmonds on Christmas Day.
