Ten-time Emmy Award winner Bryan Johnston of Lake Forest Park attended a recent meeting of VFW Post 8870 to provide members with a preview of his newly published book, “Man With a Gun.”

For nearly three decades, Johnston was a television and video writer/producer, and he is the author of three books. His latest, just released in December, weaves several historically accurate military operations and events into a compelling modern day mystery/thriller. A disgraced Marine Corps sniper, Web Weller, attempts to start a new life in a small Minnesota town, made up by a disproportionately large number of veterans. Gradually, Web begins to uncover clues that just might identify John F. Kennedy’s assassin.

To honor our active-duty military personnel, Johnston will donate $1 from every sale of his book to the Fallen Heroes Project,  a foundation created by Edmonds artist and Post 8870 member Mike Reagan. To date, Reagan has drawn over 3,100 portraits of those men and women who have died while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You can purchase a copy of the book through Johnston’s website.
