Edmonds Police Blotter, Jan. 21-26

Jan. 21
8100 block 84th Avenue Southwest: Edmonds police recovered a stolen car. The woman who was occupying the car was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Jan. 24
7600 block 230th Street Southwest: A woman turned in to police a jewelry box filled with semi-precious stones she recovered by the dumpster of her condominium. The jewelry box was booked into evidence for safe keeping.

24100 block 84th Avenue West: A group of kids were caught shoplifting at a Safeway. After they were caught they agreed for police to search them, during the search marijuana was found. The referrals were completed to juvenile court.

8500 block 238th Street Southwest: A woman stole a bank check from the account of another woman. The suspect then proceeded to forge her signature and cash it at an unknown Chase Branch. The victim is familiar to the suspect.

Jan. 25
8100 block 242nd Street Southwest. A woman reported that her ex-roommate violated the terms of their pre-trial no-contact order when she picked up her mail from the mailbox. The matter was referred to the Edmonds City Prosecutor.

22500 block Highway 99. A store manager reported a shoplifter who comes into the store almost weekly to steal alcohol. The suspect has been confronted by management before and alcohol has been recovered on him in the past. The suspect is unknown.

21900 block Highway 99. A man and a woman were suspected of shoplifting grocery items. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before police could identify them.

Jan. 26
6900 block Meadowdale Beach Road. A mailbox was blown up by an unknown type of device. The police have no suspects.
