Cuzzetto, Smith win state wrestling titles
Two Edmonds School District wrestlers took state titles at the Mat Classic tournament on Saturday in Tacoma.
Noah Cuzzetto won his second straight state 4A title in the 113-lb. class, with a pin of Yelm’s Darren Harris. Other E-W wrestlers with state finishes included Nathan Vulliet at 132 pounds, who took fifth, and heavyweigh George Johanson, who placed seventh.
In the 160-lb. class, Morgan Smith of Meadowdale took the state 3A title with a 4-2 decision over Oak Harbor’s Josh Crebbin. The Mavs’ Ciaran Ball placed fourth in the 195-pound class.
