Edmonds police assist in apprehending wanted felon in North Edmonds Thursday night
North Edmonds residents asked about police activity in their neighborhood Thursday night near Meadowdale Beach Road. Turns out, Edmonds, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace police were assisting Seattle police in their search for a suspect wanted on a Department of Corrections felony warrant.
Here’s the official news release from Edmonds PD:
Last night, January 31, 2013 at approximately 5:30 PM, Lynnwood police officers were assisting Seattle PD as they attempted to arrest a subject wanted on a Department of Corrections felony warrant. The subject is also a known gang member with an extensive criminal history. Seattle PD and Lynnwood PD followed the subject until he wrecked the vehicle he was in, in the area of 7200 block of 175th St SW in Edmonds and had fled on foot.
Lynnwood PD, Mountlake Terrace PD and Edmonds PD units responded along with K9 units from both Edmonds PD, and Lynnwood PD. Officers continued to look for the subject for several hours in the area. At 9:58 PM a resident in the 6900 block of Meadowdale Beach Road called to say a subject had just jumped off their roof and walked away. Officers immediately went to the area, located and arrested the subject at 10:45 PM. The subject, a 41-year-old Seattle resident, was booked on the D.O.C. warrant with other criminal charges pending.

This is once again an excellent example of our Edmonds PD doing their job persistently and professionally.. Also it is especially good to note the superb level of coopeation they share with neighboring towns. Once again I’m truly impressed.
