Stanwood defeated Meadowdale 71-66 in the first round of the 3A District 1 girls basketball tournament Tuesday night at Stanwood High School. Meadowdale will play Shorewood in a loser-out game Friday night, Feb. 8, 7 p.m. at Shorewood.
