Edmonds Community College offers two events on Thursday at the Black Box Theatre:
The documentary “Miss Representation,” will play at 11:30 a.m. The film explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the under representation of women in positions of power and influence. The film, by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and aired on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. The showing at EdCC is free and open to the public.
Learn how to start and maintain a business at Women Entrepreneurs, WE Mean Business. This annual business and network fair, hosted by Edmonds Community College and the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, focuses on helping educate and encourage women to to become entrepreneurs. All individuals, regardless of gender, are invited to attend. Light dinner and refreshments will be served. The free event starts at 6:30 p.m., and is open to the public with pre-registration here.
