Surgery, chemo infusion and radiation are considered the gold standards for cancer treatment, but could the food and chemicals you ingest every day be improved to prevent cancer and keep you healthy? According to Justin Reeder, owner of Edmonds Vitamins and Herbs, you have choices beyond tap water and hot dogs. Here are a few of her latest products.

DoMatcha is an organic ceremonial tea that is high in nature’s anticancer properties. The one ounce can of pure green tea powder from the whole plant makes 30-50 cups, and Justin sips it “all day.” It is high in L-Theanine, which helps prevent the “overwhelm” state, by reducing anxiety.

Another product becoming indispensible to Reeder is Santevia, which filters out fluoride and arsenic from tap water, while alkalizing it and adding essential minerals – all intended to maintain your optimal pH. The store carries large Santevia units and also small rods that can be put into your water pitcher, for around $15.

You can find out more by visiting Reeder and her assistant Mathias at the Edmonds Vitamins & Herbs store at 420 5th Avenue, or via the website.
