Valentine’s Day dining in Edmonds

Once a year, everyone gets to star in a personal love story. And while you and your sweetie could spend Valentine’s Day at a drive-through, if you’re looking for real romance, consider this your aphrodisiac list.
Arnie’s three-course dinner on Feb. 14 runs $20 to 35 per person, and offers a choice of these entrees:
Chili lime jumbo prawn tacos; New York steak; Chicken Piccata; Seafood Newburg; Sliced Chateaubriand with wild mushroom Burgundy glaze; Salmon; Pan-seared trio of halibut, salmon and cod; Bacon-wrapped prawns.
Bar Dojo has special seatings at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. on Thursday with a fixed price menu of $65 per person and open seating in the bar. The menu offers one choice for each course:
First course
Spicy Dungeness crab salad, artisan greens, avocado, red jalapeno, ginger dressing.
Blood Orange Salad of citrus segments, sesame shallot micro green salad, honey lemon vinaigrette.
Second course
Ahi Tuna Sashimi with sushi-grade ahi tuna, micro cilantro, thai chili, citrus tamari sauce.
Tempura Avocado of fried avocado, daikon carrot salad, ponzu sauce.
Chicken Satay thigh skewers with spiced peanut sauce.
Third course
Fillet Mignon of beef tenderloin with curried potatoes, green beans, ginger sauce.
Seared Weathervane Scallops with edamame shitake risotto, ginger burre blanc.
Duck Breast with squash, sautéed pea vines, citrus Hoisin glaze.
Fourth course
Smoked Tea Chocolate Mousse
Mandarin orange confit, caramel, sesame brittle.
Banana Tarte Tatin with caramelized banana, puff pastry, coconut sorbet.
Gelato and Strawberries with vanilla gelato, fresh strawberries, mint
Optional
Local oysters on the half shell, ginger mignonette, red jalapeno salt, $2.
Wine Flight $18: Bellafina Prosecco, Fire Road Sauvignon Blanc, Floating Rock Cabernet Sauvignon, and Moscato D’ Asti.
Chanterelle offers a three-course dinner.” Choose from:
Soup: Tomato Bisque or Soup du Jour.
Salad: Tossed Salad Greens dusted with chopped Hazelnuts with choice of dressing (vinaigrette, blue cheese, or creamy olivada), or spinach salad (+$2.50) or Caesar salad (+$1.50).
Entrée: Hot Little Twosome of Red Hot Chili Sauced Petite Top Sirloin; Crab Cake with Cajun Aioli
House-mashed Potatoes and roasted vegetables $23.99. Suggested Wine by the glass Pairing: Louis Martini Sonoma CA Cabernet Sauvignon $8.
Pear and Gorgonzola Pork Loin with roasted red potatoes and winter vegetables $19.99. Suggested wine by the glass pairing: Mark West CA Pinot Noir $7.
Irish Lovers’ Lobster Ravioli: Assorted mushrooms sautéed with Irish Whiskey and cream served over lobster-filled ravioli $21.99. Suggested wine by the glass pairing: Clos Du Bois CA Chardonnay$ 7.
Chicken Roulade dressed with pink peppercorn sauce stuffed with spinach, bacon and Gruyere; house mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables $19. Suggested wine by the glass pairing: Clos du Bois CA Chardonnay $7.
Sweet and Spicy Prawns with an Asian Twist: Chinese Five Spice, garlic, peanut and lime coconut rice, steamed broccoli and carrots $21.99. Suggested wine by the glass pairing: Diseno Torrontes ARG $7.
Roasted Butternut Squash with dates, pistachios, shallots and orange zest $17.99. Wine pairing: Placido Pinot Grigio $6.
Their regular full dinner menu is available as well.
Dessert options “will be plentiful and amazing. We have several champagnes and even Chocolate-Red wine, as well as over 50 wines and a new beer list. If coffee drinking is in order, we have our award-winning espresso bar open all night long.”
Cheesemonger ‘s Table has cheese and chocolate fondue specials for two in addition to their regular menu. “Come in for a romantic dessert or start off the evening with a love of cheese.”
Demetri’s offers a $55 per person fixed price dinner with entrees including:
Pan-seared wild caught halibut over sautéed organic baby spinach, pomegranate seeds, mango and white wine sauce.
Grilled petit filet mignon with grilled asparagus, smoked cheddar, chives, and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and chimichurri.
Epulo’s four-course Valentine’s menu is $60 per person and includes selections from these choices:
First course
Dungeness Raviolo with spinach, ricotta Meyers Lemon and brown butter.
Hood Canal Oysters on the half-shell, Prosecco Citrus Granita, pickled shallots.
Second course
Blood orange & fennel salad of shaved fennel tossed with baby Mache, red onion, cherry tomato, blood orange vinaigrette.
Shrimp Bisque with shaved asparagus and white truffle Alaska spot prawns , shaved asparagus, snipped chives, Oregon white truffle oil.
Third course
Wood-fired Skagit Valley chicken breast stuffed with mission figs, caramelized onions and prosciutto, Creamy rosemary polenta, chanterelle mushrooms, cranberry port demi .
Rack of Herb Crusted Lamb, truffled Yukon Gold potato puree, grilled asparagus, roasted tomato, olive and Dijon vinaigrette.
Sea Scallops Butter Seared Diver Scallops, braised tri-color lentils, pancetta and vide leeks vinaigrette. Beef Tenderloin and Grilled Shrimp with chervil Hollandaise, caramelized onion, bacon.
Fourth course
Molten Truffle Cakes with Grand Marnier cream or Red Velvet Cake with homemade sour cream, Ice Cream Red Velvet Chocolate Layer Cake, Homemade Sour Cream Sweetheart Candy Ice Cream, or Champagne and Strawberry Champagne Cocktail poured table side with liquid nitrogen, which transforms into sorbet served with fresh strawberries.
Homeport at Anthony’s released only its hours of operation: Dinner from 4-10 p.m., and HomePort Bar hours from 3 -10 p.m.
Giardi’s will have a “limited dinner menu.”
Las Brisas will have its “regular menu.”
The Loft’s $49 per person menu features a choice in each of three courses:
First course
Organic spinach salad, pickled strawberries, candied pecans, goat cheese, strawberry vinaigrette;
Grilled escarole, red golden candy striped beets, walnuts, Maytag blue cheese, blood orange dressing.
Second course
Dungeness crab cakes with champagne beurre blanc or escargot potato crisp and fennel cream;
Entrée Lobster Ravioli house-made pasta with sautéed leeks, lemongrass Veloute;
Grilled Rack of Lamb with goat cheese creamy polenta, root vegetable hash, pomegranate molasses;
Pan-seared Sockeye Salmon truffled with crushed purple potatoes, crispy fennel, arugula, herbed crème fraîche.
Dessert
Salted chocolate caramel cake with chocolate strawberries or Vanilla panna cotta with raspberry coulis.
Pagliacci’s special is Baci di Dama gelato, a chocolate and hazelnut dessert that can be shared, at $2.50 for 4 oz.
PCC is bringing in heart-shaped cakes in Vegan Chocolate or Devil’s Food for $7.99, along with an extensive selection of chocolate candy.
Portofino will bake your pizza in the shape of a heart, with your choice of toppings. And for folks who prefer gluten-free, Portofino has pizza that meets your needs.
Scott’s Bar & Grill offers Dinner for Two with shared appetizer, salad, one of four entrees, and a shared dessert for $75. The entrees are Filet of Beef Tenderloin, Butter-Poached Lobster Tail, Salmon Oscar, or Crab-Stuffed Prawns.

Oh no! I can’t believe you missed this opportunity to mention Cafe de Paris! That is THE BEST restaurant in Edmonds. And what is more romantic than the beautiful atmosphere of a French cafe and the delectable french food. At Cafe de Paris the food is exquisite! The chef’s work is artistry. Edmonds is so lucky to have a beautiful restaurant as this, and at such reasonable prices. And on some nights they even have a wonderful guitarist playing selections for you.
